Description
Remember when phones only took calls and sent texts? In this Mobi PCS spot concepted by Wall to Wall an outdated phone evolves into a slick smart phone with a series of intricate mechanical transformations. The newly empowered phone then absorbs the cloud of digital media encircling it.
Production Notes
Every part of the spot worked perfectly right down to the sound design and supers. Two phones had to be modelled in 3D to a high degree of photo realism. The original phone then had to be broken into interlocking pieces that had to be attached to gears, shafts, levers and hinges. The animation of the transformation was a complex choreography of delicate movement.
