Description

A bride to be, her mother and her husband to be are discussing wedding cakes, The young lady describes one cake as it appears on the table in front of them, her mother imagines another more elaborate one that arrives from above and her man calls in a simple chocolate cake that gets shot down.


Production Notes

David Sato delivered a excellent canvas for us to populate with the fanciful 3D visual effects. The cakes were special order, modelled to the Wedding Cafe’s exacting specifications and animated to arrive and depart the scene in an appropriately fanciful way. Careful use of shadow and reflection layers in the final composition makes it look like the impossible animating cakes are as real as the actors behind them.
